Forth Environment Link (FEL) is in the course of progressing projects towards delivering the ‘Economic Development’ strand of its Forth Valley Orchards’ Initiative, funded by the CSGN Development Fund 2012.
We are seeking to dovetail a strategic approach to the economic development of orchards with FEL’s strategy for longer-term sustainability, and now wish to appoint a suitably qualified consultant to develop a robust and viable economic model for a Business Incubator Unit, develop a Business Plan to implement the model, and identify potential orchard and orchard-related commercial opportunities in the Forth Valley and beyond.
We envisage that an FEL Business Incubator Unit will support the establishment of:
Longer-term, it is our desire that FEL grows a financially-viable social enterprise arm where commercially successful elements of the business not only cover operating costs, but are invested back into the community.

Tender submissions should include an outline of methodology and approach, skills and experience, proposals for reporting and delivery of project objectives, and a detailed schedule of cost and resources.
The project budget is set at £9,000, inclusive of VAT. Consultants’ quotes should not exceed this level of funding and should contain all relevant expenses.
The project will run from 11 February 2013 until 31 March 2013.
