Partick Community Growing Project – Partick Housing Association Limited

The Association has been awarded a grant by the Big Lottery Fund Scotland to create a community growing space. The project will see the creation of raised beds, integrated rainwater harvesting and a small shelter and storage unit, all made out of environmentally friendly materials.
The area is 819 square metres on a disused play park behind houses on Gullane Street, Anderson Street and Purdon Street (Post code G11 6AH), owned by the Association. A feasiblity study was carried out outling the works to be undertaken.
We have appointed a lead consultant to oversee the construction and building works ERZ Limited.
The site will be cleared by one of our contractors, Carillion, in preparation for the works.
We would like the building programme to start in September 2013 and aim to have the construction completed in January 2014.
We are inviting tenderers to provide a fee for building works for the project

Framework Agreement for the Provision of General Builders Work and Sundry Services – North Glasgow Housing Association

It is ng homes intention to enter into a Framework Agreement with one contractor to deliver their requirements to provide general builderswork and sundry services to their tenants in the north of Glasgow. The Framework Agreement will be for a period of three years with an option to extend for one further year at the discretion of ng homes and the agreement of the Contractor.
The works involved in this contract are very varied and require a contractor who operates in a flexible manner and is committed to the high standards of service ng homes offers to their customers. The service is very personal to the needs of ng homes and their customers. The contractor and his operatives need to be experienced, knowledgeable and committed to working with RSLs in the housing repairs and maintenance sector. ng homes is very dependent on the quality of service the contractor provides as it is an essential part of the service they provide to their tenants, excellent communications must be maintained at all times between ng homes staff and the contractor and his operatives.

The works include but are not limited to: –

  • Roofing inspections, repairs and gutter cleaning.
  • Kitchen and bathroom renewals and house rewiring.
  • Installation and servicing of gas central heating works.
  • Medical adaptations.
  • Plumbing works.
  • General plastering and tiling.
  • Void repair and decoration works.
  • Kitchen bathroom and rewire works.
  • Close, street and backcourt cleaning of graffiti and excrement removal.
  • Needle sweeps and general hygiene cleaning.
  • Waste segregation works.
  • Clean up after corpse removal, including body fluid removal.
  • Vermin removal from housing and backcourts.
  • Multi storey block bin chute unblocking and cleaning.
  • Other common area works to multi tenanted properties, including providing quotes for the works to individual owner occupiers.
  • Common area environmental works.
  • Handyman Services.

The contractor will be available to carry out services to ng homes on a 24 hour, 7 days a week basis 365 days of the year.

Single Point of Contact (Website) – Opportunities Fife

Opportunities Fife is the partnership responsible for driving forward the employability and skills agenda on behalf of Fife’s Community Planning Partners. The Opportunities Fife vision is:
‘To enable the people of Fife to reach their full employment potential and contribute to a thriving Fife economy.’
This activity is currently managed through the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) via the Opportunities Fife website.

The Council is looking to enter into a Contract with a suitable supplier who can carry out tasks including but not limited to:-

  1. Update the website to improve the customer experience and overcome capacity weakness and duplication of information
  2. Post vacancies
  3. Receive and process applications
  4. Take calls
  5. Maintain the employer database
  6. Administer courses and campaigns

The site comprises of 7 tabs. This Contract is specifically to manage the “Jobs & placements” tab only. The other 6 tabs are managed by Opportunities Fife partnership.

The SPOC will deliver important outcomes for clients across the whole employability pathway. Crucially, it will allow employer led approaches to drive initiatives which ensure our priority clients can compete in the market place maximising their chance of gaining and sustaining employment.
