West Lothian Council Community Benefit Guidance

Ready for Business were delighted to support West Lothian Council with the launch of their Community Benefit in Procurement Procedure at an event in Livingston on the 30th August. At the event, attended by almost 50 Council officers, Stuart Saunders, Procurement Improvement Officer, described the Council’s Community Benefit Commitment and went on to describe the detailed process for identifying community benefit opportunities in construction and non-construction contracts. Ready for Business then facilitated a group discussion on community benefit opportunities in the local authority’s area. The procedure, which includes detailed guidance and sample wording for officers has been uploaded on the Community Benefits Group on the local government K-Hub forum.
