Food for Thought (South Glasgow) – NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde
The South Sector Community Health Partnership is seeking a dynamic organisation(s), or partnership of organisations, to deliver this community based health improvement activity that will complement its strategic direction and the work of its own staff and many partners.
It is expected that flexible, culturally appropriate approaches will be used and that the interested organisations will demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of the pattern of inequalities in Glasgow and of the barriers in working in communities with high levels of deprivation.
The submissions should therefore describe the approaches that will be used in working within areas of poorest health and well being, and with communities who are often disconnected from services and have many barriers in accessing services and activities.
In the South Sector Community Health Partnership (SS CHP) the neighbourhoods identified for specific focus are:
The initial term of the contract is one (1) year commencing 1st April 2014 to 31st March 2015 with the option to extend for a maximum of twenty-four (24) months thereafter. The contract can be extended as many times as required with individual extension options of any period. Collectively these options must not exceed twenty-four (24) months. Any such extension will be agreed on an annual basis only, subject to performance review and funding availability.
The core budget for this service is £70,000 per annum. This includes staffing, all associated management and administration costs, hire or purchase of all equipment and furnishings required for the delivery of the services and any purchase or rental of premises therein.

To undertake community consultation for the retention and reuse of the existing buildings of the former Victoria Road primary school, to prepare a feasibility study and the development of a business plan to demonstrate the sustainability for a model of community owenership

ng homes is a trading name of North Glasgow Housing Association. The organisation is a not for profit social housing provider and registered social landlord. ng homes has in the region of 5,400 properties in the North of Glasgow and has offices in the Possilpark and Springburn areas of the city. Springburn
ng homes provide high quality affordable general needs and amenity housing.
The successful contractor will require to work with ng homes subsidiary company ng2. The successful contractor will require to utilise labour provided by ng2 operatives in the carrying out of the works. The cost of their employment is to be included within the contractor’s tender.
ng homes reserves the right to gradually increase the amount of labour they supply to the contractor over the duration of the contract and the success of this relationship will be measured as a KPI. The success of this relationship will be a contractual requirement and if the successful contractor does not comply with this requirement it will form the grounds for determination of the contract. However ng homes will work in partnership with the successful contractor to ensure the success of this contract.
The Contract is to be let for a period of two years with an option to extend the contract for a further year, subject to review on a regular basis and satisfactory performance against published Key Performance Indicators.
