Film and Animation Services Framework Agreement – Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland (Care Inspectorate)

The Care Inspectorate is seeking to award a Framework Agreement, made up of 2 Lots. The objective of the Framework Agreement is to identify up to 3 supplies per Lot who have the requisite experience and capacity to meet our needs for the production of short films (Lot 1), or animations (Lot 2) to be used as educational resources covering a range of health topics that fit with our core business objectives and to promote the work of the Care Inspectorate.

Receipt and Processing of Dry Recyclable Materials from Kerbside and Communal Collections – City of Edinburgh Council

The Contract is to commence on 30 November 2015. There is increasing demand for the processing of DMR due to the introduction of a new twin stream collection system which was first introduced to 40,000 households in 2014 and will continue to be rolled out throughout 2015 to approximately 140,000 households. Material collected from on-street Packaging and Paper banks and from Trade Waste customers will also be included and will add to the volume of material being processed.

The Contract will facilitate the Council meeting its commitments to the Scottish Government Zero Waste Plan, the subsequent Waste (Scotland) Regulations 2012 and to assist in increasing recycling rates to 50% and above from 2015 and to 60% by 2020, a provision of the Climate Change (Scotland) Act 2009.

The City of Edinburgh Council wishes to appoint a Contractor to receive and process Recyclable Materials from Kerbside and Communal Collections including Dry Mixed Recyclables (DMR), Glass, Textiles, small Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE)and household batteries, collected from households, on-street recycling banks and commercial premises within the City of Edinburgh Council area.

The Contractor must guarantee that all the materials delivered by the Council under this contract will be re-used or recycled.

Community Hub Business Plan Brief – Colintraive and Glendaruel Development Trust

The principal aim of this tender document is to commission a Consultant to prepare analysis and lead on the different options for the Options Appraisal process, and successfully complete a business planning process for the acquisition, construction phase and sustainable operation of the final option for ‘The Community Hub’.
The overall aim of the business plan is to underpin the requirements of a Big Lottery funding application, which will be used in conjunction with the final Design Plan for the project. The Consultant would be required to comply with the Capital Grant Checklist 3.
