Argyll & Bute Council holding a series of procurement surgeries

Argyll and Bute Council organises surgeries to keep local contractors informed of opportunities available to them when tendering for contracts for council services. The surgeries will be held in Dunoon on 3rd Feb, Oban on 16th Feb, Rothesay on 3rd March, Campbeltown on 23rd March and Helensburgh on 30th March 2016. See more.

Ready for Business Workshops

Ready for Business runs free bespoke workshops on a variety of procurement related topics. Our workshops are delivered by experienced advisers and, where appropriate, include contributions from legal experts. Current topics include;

  • Social Value in Commissioning
  • Community Benefit Clauses in Procurement
  • Public Social Partnership model

Formats and timings are flexible but typically workshops are ½ day and can be run for groups of 10 – 30 delegates. All our workshops include a significant level of group work and facilitated discussion and we are happy to discuss content and approach so that the outcomes are appropriate for the group.

Scottish Prison Service Same Day Courier Contract

The Scottish Prison Service uses courier services to send priority mail and parcels from the prisons. DNDP, a supported enterprise, submitted a tender for the Same Day Delivery Lot and won the tender to deliver the services.

Community Transport in South Ayrshire

South Ayrshire Council has embarked on a process of joint-working and co-production of services with the community transport sector in the area. This has resulted in the establishment of South Ayrshire Community Transport (SACT) as a joint-venture between five community transport providers in South Ayrshire and has led to piloting and subsequently winning a transport contract from the Council.

East Renfrewshire CHCP – Re-design of Supported Living Services for People with Learning Disabilities

East Renfrewshire Community Health and Care Partnership (CHCP) is an innovative partnership between East Renfrewshire Council and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde used the PSP model to re-examine their Supported Living service for people in East Renfrewshire with Learning Difficulties.
