£1.9m to support jobless people in Dundee

Posted in: General News

Dundee City Council, on behalf of the Dundee Partnership, is inviting applications for European Social Funds (ESF) to run activities within the Dundee Employability Pipeline, for which Dundee City Council has been awarded £1.9m to support jobless people in Dundee.

We are seeking proposals from eligible organisations who have funds available to match with ESF funds and to join the Employability Pipeline.

We are looking to award ESF grant funding to organisations who can engage eligible clients into the Employability Pipeline and deliver training, support, work placements and jobmatching services to progress clients towards and into work. Applicants may deliver activities across all five pipeline stages, or focus solely on a single stage and engage with other partners in the pipeline to collaboratively provide clients with a clear, high quality pathway into work.

Key aims of the pipeline are to place at least 60% of clients engaged into work and for at least 70% of those clients who start work to maintain employed status for at least 6 months.

Partners are sought to support these ultimate aims. Targets would be agreed in line with those set by the match funding and as per ESF indicators, outcomes and results.

Target Groups: – Jobless citizens with multiple barriers to employment (full definition of “barriers” will be provided with guidance)
