Sport & Leisure Provision – Stirling Council

Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Collaborative Framework – North Ayrshire Council

Framework Agreement for the supply and delivery of quality fresh fruit & vegetables, salad ingredients and prepared fruit and vegetables, to Council locations across North Ayrshire, East Ayrshire, Inverclyde and the Island of Arran, delivering 1-2 times per week to multiple sites within each geographical lot.

Foreign economic-aid-related services – DFID

Programme information DFID is seeking a Supplier to serve as Evaluation Manager under its programme for Investments in Forests and Sustainable Land Use (IFSLU). The Supplier will coordinate a process of evaluation and learning from programme interventions throughout the duration of the contract. Investments in Forests and Sustainable Land Use is a new centrally-managed programme with the broad aim of catalysing increased private investment in sustainable forestry and ‘0-deforestation’ agriculture. DFID has committed funding of 60 000 000 GBP to an initial phase of the programme, funded from the UK Government’s International Climate Fund (ICF). A technical assistance facility led by Palladium International has been established to manage the programme, offering grants and technical assistance to develop and support public-private partnerships over a 5 year period (November 2015-November 2020). DFID is now seeking an Evaluation Manager to develop and implement an evaluation strategy for Investments in Forests and Sustainable Land Use, focused primarily on the outcome level of the programme and on learning across programme activities. The services will commence in November 2016 and run for a period of 48 months, at a maximum budget of £1.35m.

Inverclyde Community Finance Initiative – Feasibility Study

Cloch Housing Association together with Oak Tree and Larkfield Housing Associations are looking to improve access to affordable credit and other financial services for tenants. The RSL’s wish to assess the most appropriate means to increase access to financial products for their tenants, and are keen to consider a number of opportunities including;

• Building the capacity of existing organisations where feasible;
• Identifying and filling gaps in service provision;
• Developing a new Community Finance Initiative
• Developing partnerships with existing Community Finance Initiatives
• Developing a sustainable model of operation that is not overly reliant on external grant funding.

In doing so, the appointed consultant will consider: the types of services that require to be delivered, the capacity and interest (locally and West Scotland wide) of Community Finance Initiatives in meeting the demand; the business models and financial accounts of any organisations thought to be potentially suitable to work with the RSLs, delivering affordable credit to tenants; the development of a robust business case for setting up a new Community Finance Initiative
