New Approaches in Social Transport: The PSP Model

National Conference
New Approaches in Social Transport: The PSP Model
1st March 2017

Ready for Business are working with Strathclyde Partnership for Transport to deliver the New Approaches in Social Transport: The PSP Model conference on the 1st March 2017.  We are thrilled that Angela Constance MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Communities, Social Security and Equalities is the keynote speaker; and that leading lights in Community Transport in Scotland and in the Public Social Partnership Model will be attending. The conference is an opportunity to see what has been achieved in the initial three years of this, now award-winning, Community Transport Strategic Public Social Partnership.

The conference will also showcase evidence of the benefits of our approach. We will outline and hold discussions on how we can all work together throughout Scotland to:

  • Contribute to outcomes in education, health and social care;
  • Grow Community Transport;
  • Improve Commissioning Options and;
  • Go beyond just getting from A to B: transforming the lives of communities

A key topic is what’s next: how we can support to take a similar approach at a local level, and what we can achieve if we work together at a national level.  In the afternoon, there will be breakout seminars, exploring the role of Community Transport in meeting Health and Public Sector outcomes, an in-depth guide to the PSP approach, creating a strong Community Transport sector to deliver benefits across Scotland, and opportunities for knowledge exchange.
