West Lothian Council wish to source the most capable Contractor for the construction of a new Homeless Persons Unit at Rowan Drive, Blackburn. The site is situated between two existing blocks of flats, 151-173 (Murrayfield House), and 175-205 (Mossview), Rowan Drive Blackburn. These blocks are already part of the Council’s Homeless Management Programme and as such will be connected by the new building, which will provide a central location for the relocated
management and access to additional short term accommodation. The primary requirement of the new facility will be to deliver ten bedrooms, which can be used individually or in interconnected suites, to provide immediate emergency accommodation for displaced individuals/families in line with the Council’s statutory obligations.

StreetGames is a sports charity that changes lives and communities for the better by supporting a network of projects which give sports and volunteering opportunities to young people in disadvantaged areas across the UK. The launch of StreetGames in 2007 was inspired by the success of joint work by The Football Association, The Football Foundation and agencies working in deprived areas. Since then, projects across the UK have benefitted from StreetGames activities and support.
2.1.2 ‘Doorstep sport’ is StreetGames’ delivery method, whereby we bring sport close to the home in disadvantaged communities at the right time, for the right price, to the right place and in the right style.
2.1.3 StreetGames is registered as a charity with the Charity Commission (registered charity number 1113542) and as a company limited by guarantee with the Registrar of Companies (registered company number 5384487).
2.2 Services and/or Goods Tendered
StreetGames requires a reliable vendor who can deliver;
– 1-2 x Football Pools Fives regional football festivals – attracting a minimum of 200 male and female participants aged 16+
– 1 x mass participation multi-sport event – attracting a minimum of 1,000 male and female participants aged 12+

Glasgow City Council are inviting tender bids for the Supply, Delivery and Installation (including ground works) of eight (8) Cycle Shelters.
