Living wage for Scottish public contract bidders
The Scottish government’s commitment to fair work procurement practices has resulted in new statutory guidance for the public sector that expects firms bidding for public sector contracts will pay employees the living wage and bans the exploitative use of zero hours contracts.

Supplier Development Programme Procurement training
The Supplier Development Programme (SDP) – Scotland’s free tender training service for SME’s – delivers a comprehensive programme of procurement training events. There are a number of free Webinar sessions starting in the new year, on topics such as “Completing a PQQ”, “Winning work through the supply chain” and “What the buyer looks for in your tenders”.

Ready for Business Workshops
Ready for Business runs free bespoke workshops on a variety of procurement related topics. Our workshops are delivered by experienced advisers and, where appropriate, include contributions from legal experts. Current topics include;
Formats and timings are flexible but typically workshops are ½ day and can be run for groups of 10 – 30 delegates. All our workshops include a significant level of group work and facilitated discussion and we are happy to discuss content and approach so that the outcomes are appropriate for the group.
