Practitioner Advice Service Evaluation – One Parent Families Scotland

OPFS is inviting interested applicants to submit proposals for the evaluation of the Glasgow based Practitioner Advice Service that is funded through Comic Relief. The service provides a second tier lone parent financial capability helpdesk for frontline staff. The overall aim of the evaluation is to provide OPFS with independent evaluation and evidence on the value of the Practitioners Advice Service and to understand and demonstrate the following:

– How the service is meeting its objectives and outcomes.

-Assess the effectiveness and impact of the OPFS Practitioner Advice Service

-To identify potential services changes, opportunities and developments.

-The service evaluation is expected to inform the ongoing development of the service and workforce development. It should include recommendations for service development and redesign.

The budget for this external evaluation is £7,000 (including VAT) and a supplier is required to carry out the work.

It is anticipated that the evaluation will take 20 weeks from inception to conclusion and the indicative timetable is detailed in the ITT below.

Support Services for Children with a Disability – Moray Council

Adult Care Services for High Complex Needs – South Lanarkshire Council

The purpose of this contract is to put in place a bespoke support service for initially one individual with highly complex needs and challenging behaviours. The council may seek to add up to three additional service users over the life of the contract dependent on suitability, compatibility and risk considerations.

The provider will require to evidence and demonstrate proven experience in the support and management of people who present with significant challenging behaviours and will have an established infrastructure that can deliver bespoke interventions that are flexible and will accommodate the unpredictable needs of this individual. This may include non traditional forms of interventions including supine restraint. The provider should be able to demonstrate other forms of interventions such as redirection that will minimise the need to utilise a restraint model and which will improve the quality of life and reduce risk for the service user(s).
