IASSIDD World Congress – The International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IASSIDD)

The Organising Committee are keen to involve and provide opportunities for
people with learning disabilities and would like to extend an invitation to Social
Enterprises and Charities in Scotland that involve people with learning
disabilities who may have an interest in:
• Exhibiting at the conference, with an opportunity to sell goods
• Catering opportunities to provide teas and coffees, light snacks at the
event
• Supplying a Scottish themed gift for the 1200+ conference bags

Scottish Borders Council are tendering for the provision of a Community based Housing Support Service which will assist people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness and in identified housing need.

Provision of Cleaning Services – Westray – Orkney Islands Council

Intensive Family Support Service – Fife Council

Fife Council Education and Children’s Services requires to commission a Support Service which offers individually tailored support to young people and families at an intensive level.
The key service aims will be to support individual children, young people and the outcomes identified in their Child’s Plan.

Open Framework Agreement for Learning and Development – The City of Edinburgh Council

The partner authorities are establishing an open framework agreement that will enable them to run mini-competitions and award contracts for externally-provided training services for learning and development.

Landscaping Services – Caithness and Sutherland – Highlands and Islands Enterprise

HIE is looking for a suitably experienced and qualified supplier to carry out a range of services in the Caithness and Sutherland area. The activities consist of the repair, maintenance and the general upkeep of hard and soft landscaped areas including grass cutting and a preventative winter schedule for HIE’s commercial and HIE occupied property portfolio.
It is expected that these services will be required from April 2018 for a period of 2 years, unless terminated in accordance with the provisions of the contract, with HIE having the option to extend for a period or periods together not exceeding 1 calendar year following the Initial Term.

Review of the effectiveness of current community ownership mechanisms – Scottish Land Commission

The overarching objectives of this project are to:

– Assess the effectiveness of community ownership mechanisms within the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 and the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 (outlined in section 1.2) and to identify how these could be simplified or improved; and
– Recommend what steps could be taken to enable and encourage more community ownership across Scotland – either by way of legislative or negotiated transfer.

Social Attitudes Survey Vehicle 2018 – Scottish Government
