Events

The Ready for Business team have designed a national, integrated and accessible events programme to help public sector stakeholders understand how to embed social value in the procurement process through sustainable procurement.

There are three elements to the events programme;

Awareness Raising

Over the course of 2012 we will deliver a series of information and dissemination events to explain the programme objectives and stimulate debate. These events are an opportunity for commissioners and senior procurement officers to input their own ideas into the programme content and structure. Local Engagement

We have arranged a series of events across Scotland which will create shared understanding between public sector commissioners and procurement teams and the third sector at a local level.

Senior staff from leading third sector organisations will take part in a facilitated dialogue with local public sector representatives and agree actions to stimulate future engagement and, where appropriate, identify Public Social Partnership opportunities.
