Defining the Model | Public Social Partnership (PSP) is a model which focuses on involving the Third Sector earlier and more deeply in the commissioning and design process of a range of public services. It is based on the principle of the Third and Public Sectors working in partnership to design a new, or re-design a current service with the goal of delivering better outcomes for citizens, based on explicit feedback from those who use public services. Services are then piloted prior to a (potential) competitive tendering process. It is not, therefore, a model for funding third sector organisations to deliver services. |

Public Social Partnerships: Lessons Learned | Public Social Partnerships (PSP) are a model for the Third Sector to be involved earlier and more deeply in the commissioning and service design process.

The benefits management guide is designed to support you in realising anticipated benefits for both the PSP and your newly designed service. By defining the key stages and guiding you through the benefits management process, this guide will enable you to build a framework for defining and managing benefits through the lifecycle of the PSP. This guide is intended to provide a broad view of benefits management and although it is not specifically focussed on the sustainability aspects of the PSP model, its content is aligned to and supports the advice provided in the Sustainability Toolkit.
