Review, Business Planning and Sustainability Support; North Ayrshire - Community Led Action and Support Project (CLASP)

CLASP - Community Led Action and Support Project - is a well established charity and company operating in North Ayrshire. The assignment is Big Lottery funded and aims to review the services we provide in North Ayrshire, focusing on older people in community settings. The consultant will also support us with sustainability planning (for when the BL grant ends in 2018), business planning and advice on tendering opportunities. The current scope of our services includes befriending, health and well being activities, information and advice and more intensive one-to-one support. Deliverables will include:
• A research digest (particularly for use in its entirety or extracts to support bids and tenders) and suitable for providing feedback to Big Lottery on the BL funded HOPE project
• An outline business plan
• An outline 5 year cash flow projection (suitable for accompanying bids / tenders)
• Training / coaching on tendering (either on examples or real tenders)
• Support to one or more tenders
• Feedback / discussion with senior staff and Board Members.

Scotland’s Business Support Contract for Applicants and Grant Holders - Big Lottery Fund (London)

The Big Lottery Fund is seeking a Service Provider who will offer specialist business support services to grant holders and applicants. Grant holders will be referred to the Service Provider on a case-by-case basis. The Big Lottery Fund would like to support low capacity, inexperienced groups and organisations that operate at community level. The Big Lottery Fund seeks to appoint an external Service Provider that will give grant holders and applicant’s access to reliable, consistent and high-quality advice from people who have specialist skills and experience in business accounting, management, governance and risk

Community Connecting for people over 50 - The City of Edinburgh Council

The Service will provide person-centred support to understand individual needs, wishes, goals and barriers; with the support of volunteers, work with the person for up to 4 months to regain confidence, connect to community activities and opportunities on a group or individual basis; work towards the person developing connections that can be sustained following the end of the service. The Service will be provided to people aged 50 and over, with a range of needs, within each of the four localities of the City of Edinburgh Council. It is essential that the Service has strong local connections with communities and relevant services and organisations.

The Delivery of ‘Food To Go’; Brechin Community Campus - ANGUSalive

Angus Alive is a company limited by guarantee Company Number (SC499155) and having its registered office at Angus, Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar, DD8 1AX wholly owned by Angus Council. Angus Alive wishes to appoint an experienced Café/Catering concessionaire who has experience, ability and entrepreneurial business skills to operate a new and exciting café within the new Brechin Community Campus, Brechin.  The requirement includes the provision of safe, wholesome snacks and beverages in compliance with all food safety legislation and The Nutritional Requirements for Food and Drink in Schools (Scotland) Regulations 2008 (within school hours). The area for delivery of the services is a servery area and not a cooking area. The provision of hot food will be limited. The provision of vending machines is out with the scope of this contract.

 

Rural Grass Cutting & Urban Weed Control - East Ayrshire Council

The Contract requires that all Rural Grass Verges with the East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire Council Areas are cut in accordance with the schedules in the Contract. Also included in the contract is the provision for the Urban weed control. Additionally, from time to time scrub clearance and minor tree surgery will also be required.
