CLD recognises that some of its programmes need to be supported by childcare facilities, to facilitate access for parents and carers, and that this can be particularly important for socially excluded individuals and groups in local communities.
When it is required, the Department’s aim is to provide quality childcare provision, normally in sessions not lasting for more than 2 hours. Childcare providers must be registered with the Care Commission.
