Events

The Ready for Business team have designed a national, integrated and accessible events programme to help public sector stakeholders understand how to embed social value in the procurement process through sustainable procurement.

There are three elements to the events programme;

Practical workshops

We run bespoke workshops on a variety of procurement related topics. Our workshops are delivered by experienced advisers and, where appropriate, include contributions from legal experts. Current topics include;

• Social Value in Commissioning
• Community Benefit Clauses in Procurement
• Public Social Partnership model

Formats and timings are flexible but typically workshops are ½ day and can be run for groups of 10 – 30 delegates. All our workshops include a significant level of group work and facilitated discussion and we are happy to discuss content and approach so that the outcomes are appropriate for the group.

Local Engagement

We have arranged a series of events across Scotland which will create shared understanding between public sector commissioners and procurement teams and the third sector at a local level.

Senior staff from leading third sector organisations will take part in a facilitated dialogue with local public sector representatives and agree actions to stimulate future engagement and, where appropriate, identify Public Social Partnership opportunities.

Ready for Business host regular events throughout Scotland, these accessible events are designed to be informative and engaging with a view to helping public sector stakeholders understand how to embed social value in the procurement process through sustainable procurement. Where possible, Ready for Business will host these informative and stimulating events in a Social Enterprise or Charitable Venue, adding to the social value and impact of the event.
