Social Enterprise Scotland is delighted to invite you to attend our new conference “Local Government and Social Enterprise” on Thursday 14 February 2013 from 10:00-14:00.
As places are strictly limited there are now 20 places open to our social enterprise members on a first come first served basis. As we manage the numbers of social enterprises and also local authority delegates, further places may become available.
This event is in partnership with City of Edinburgh Council and supported by the Improvement Service and by our local authority members North Lanarkshire, Falkirk and Glasgow. Please see attached PDF invitation.
This event will bring together key players in Scottish local government with Scotland’s innovative social enterprises and raise the profile of what social enterprise is and does in Scotland’s communities. We will discuss the benefits of social enterprise to many areas of local authority activity, network and develop relationships. Speakers and delegates will share their views and experiences of successful partnership working, share best practice and learn how social enterprise can benefit communities and local authorities in terms of economic growth, reform of public services and positive social impact. Social enterprises already work well with many local authorities but there is much room for improvement and development. This event builds on the good work that is taking place at a local level in many parts of Scotland.
A full agenda will be circulated soon and do get in contact at any time with questions. Please make your free booking today: [email protected]
